Here at Minar Jewellers no job is too small or too big for us - we will try our hardest to design, make or repair any pieces that you have or would like to have!
Here are some examples of the work that we have completed recently:
Serotonin Necklace
This was an order from a doctor from St. George’s hospital in Tooting. The doctor showed a sample of the base metal necklace to us and wanted that made in white gold within a very small budget. We made the necklace in the time frame and the budget given. The doctor came to collect the necklace and was very pleased with the finished piece. We asked him what the geometric design meant.
He said that it was the chemical symbol for Serotonin. His girlfriend works in the biology research department at St. George’s. Serotonin is the chemical that is released in the brain when a person feels happy. The doctor was going to propose to his girlfriend with this necklace instead of a traditional ring. I can imagine the smile on his girlfriend’s face when this would have been given to her!
Diamond Elephant Hinged Bangle
This hinged bangle with two elephant heads studded with 16.43 carats of diamonds valued at £55,255 was the centre piece of an exhibition at a Rolls Royce event which was held at the London Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane.
Emerald Cut Diamond Ring
This ring was redesigned from a very simple to a very gorgeous 18 carat white gold ring. The princess cut diamonds and the baguette diamonds were set to enhance the centre emerald cut diamond, which was supplied by the client who asked us to make something practical but spectacular. Once the ring was finished, the value was in excess of £75,000.
Traditional 'Matli'
This is a very traditional 'matli' given by the bride's parents as a gift and is an ornate piece sterling silver pot which has a rim with three delicate leaves. The leaf was broken. We repaired this and gold plated it to restore it to its original finish.
