What is an L shaped nose stud?
The L shaped nose stud is bent and shaped like an L, hence the name. Thanks to its shape, once inserted, it sits firmly against your nostril.
L shaped nose studs are usually used for new piercings - as they are easier to put in - but are also the best option for those who often change nose jewellery.
This type of nose stud is so popular that it comes in a variety of styles: at Minar we love adding gemstones and little designs to make our L-shaped jewellery even more beautiful.

How to put your L shaped nose stud in
Before you start, please wash your hands carefully.
Sanitise your L shaped nose stud with a cleaning cloth which is provided with your Minar order.
Find the hole in your nose and gently push the end of the stem into the hole.
When you're sure that the end of the stud is through to the other side, push the rest of the stud in, angling it to get the bent part through the hole.
If by lifting up your nostril you see the end of the L shaped stud inside your nose - pointing straight up or down- it means you have successfully managed to insert the nose stud.
How to remove your L shaped nose stud
Again, wash your hands and the area around the piercing.
Remember that the L shaped stud is bent at a 90 degree angle. So - as you pull it out- you will need to angle it down to get the bent portion out through the piercing hole.
Once the bent portion is through, just remove your nose stud.
Why is it important to keep your pierced jewellery clean?
At Minar, we understand how important it is to keep your jewellery clean and hygienic. Before dispatching any of our products, we securely seal them in protective packaging.
With every purchase from Minar Jewellers, we provide you with a cleaning wipe, which you can use to sanitise your new nose stud with, before inserting into your piercing.
It’s important to keep your jewellery clean - regular cleaning will help keep it looking its best. It will also remove any unwanted germs.
Choosing the right L shaped nose stud
There are a few things to think about when selecting an L shaped nose stud to make sure you find the right one for you.
First of all, think about the material you want your nose stud to be made of. Gold and sterling silver are two popular options, and each has its own unique properties and benefits. Sterling silver is an affordable option that can be prone to tarnish, but it can be easily cleaned and maintained. Gold is a classic choice that is hypoallergenic and resistant to tarnish.
You should also consider the style of the nose stud. Would you like a plain stud or one with a gemstone set into it? Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is popular and can be an affordable alternative to diamonds. However, nothing can beat the brilliance and shine of a real diamond! Emeralds, rubies and sapphires are other great options!
